Cancelation Policy & Weather Policy

Most home hibachi is requested for summer weekends so spots fill up fast! Availability is on a first come first serve basis which means we require $200 deposit upon booking. These deposits are non-refundable as there are limited times available and dates should only be booked after being thoroughly planned.

Summer weather is very unpredictable especially far in advance. In the event of inclement weather, we expect the host to have rain proof patio or awning for our chef’s to remain dry while cooking. Please consider making arrangements for a party tent when booking a party in the event of a rainy day.

We understand things change quickly and certain circumstances outside your control may occur. If there is a last minute emergency, we will be happy to reschedule your event to a new date we have available. Should you realize the date will not work for any reason (another event, will be on vacation, etc.) there is a 48 hour grace period from the day of deposit to cancel the reservation and be refunded. Any cancelations after the 48 hours will not be refunded.

  • How can I make a reservation?
    You can make a reservation through our website or by calling Takumi at (934) 888-6888 or email us at info@takumibayshore.com For extra large parties we will add extra chefs at no additional charge. Please note that online bookings will not be complete until a deposit has been placed. If you booked online you may call the store after to place a deposit.
  • How much does your service cost?
    Our Service has a base price of $50 per person with a $700 minimum spend. All fees are included EXCEPT gratuity. Suggested gratuity is 20% of total bill. Our services are cash only. All payments are due the day of the event.
  • Do I need a minimum number of people to get home hibachi?
    We recommend 15 people minimum for home hibachi but we can accommodate smaller parties if necessary. A minimum spend of $700 is required so per person cost may vary depending on the number of people.
  • What’s included?
    Home Hibachi includes clear soup and ginger salad to start for every guest. Full Hibachi meal will include a combination of Angus steak, organic chicken, and shrimp. Guests may have a combination of all three or ask the chef for just one or two proteins. We can accommodate any request for dietary restrictions or preferences. Fresh mixed vegetables, fried rice and hibachi noodles to complete the meal are also included along with the best part- lots of sake!
  • Do you set up tables and chairs ?
    Takumi Home Hibachi will bring hibachi grills, single use plates and utensils, chopsticks, napkins, and (of course) sake! If cocktails are ordered we have individual drink pouches to provide them in to ensure nothing breaks or spills at your home. At the moment, we do not provide tables, chairs. Please have these available- we will arrive with everything else for a great Hibachi experience!
  • What time will the chef arrive?
    The chef will arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to reservation time. Our set up process is seamless and only takes a few minutes.
  • Do you cook inside homes?
    We only cook on outside premises. Our experience is open to terraces, balconies, and under awnings. At this time we do not cook in any indoor premises. All though you can set your party up inside, the chef will cook outside ! We are licensed and insured.
  • Do you cook with nuts or sesame products?
    No , our food does not contain any nuts or sesame products. Please notify the booking agent of any other food allergy a customer may have.
  • Can you accommodate Gluten Free ?
    Yes we have serviced many gluten free customers. We ask that you bring your favorite gluten free soy sauce and teriyaki sauce for the chef to cook your portion separate !
  • What if someone does not eat meat?
    We can provide tofu to meet Vegetarian and Vegan needs. The price per person does not change. We will supplement their dishes with additional food such as extra veggies, salad, and noodles.
  • Can the customer provide their own proteins?
    We don’t permit anyone to provide their own food for us to cook. We only cook food that we can be sure of proper storage and prep to prevent any quality or health related issues.
